Why missions?

Here at Celebration, we believe that fulfilling the Great Commision requires us to give of our time, talent and treasure. As a church, we provide many opportunities to change our communities local to global.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20

Local missions

Below are several opportunities for serving locally.

Food Pantry
Want to serve in the food pantry? You can be a blessing by helping to organize and rotate food in the pantry, help with food drives, and participate in gleaning activities. For more information contact Helga LeMaster at hlemaster0822@gmail.com.

Litchford Nursing Home Outreach
The Nursing Home Mission Outreach meets every 3rd Sunday, at 10:30 am, at the Litchford Nursing Home. The Nursing home is located at 8200 Litchford Road in Raleigh. This team conducts a service for the residents and ministers one-on-one with the Word of God and encouragement. If you are interested in becoming involved with this ministry, contact Lynn Harris at lynngharris@bellsouth.net.

Crossover Basketball Mission Outreach
The Crossover Basketball Mission Outreach provides an opportunity to assist in running an open gym that is extended to any male or female, middle or high school student. The Outreach Program operates from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm every Saturday. Starting with a prayer circle, the program includes time for playing basketball and listening to a half-time message based on principles from the Word of God. Students are encouraged to develop a close walk with the Lord through this program. For more information contact John Czigler at john@celebrationchurchnc.com.

Our cGroups meet for three sessions a year—winter/spring, summer, and fall. During the session, most groups meet once a week, while some meet monthly. cGroups are meant to bring meaning and community into the flow of your life, so even if you can’t attend every meeting, there is still great value in joining a group.
cGroups happen throughout North Raleigh and surrounding areas. Most groups meet in homes, while a few meet on the church campus.
Most cGroups meet for a session. This way, new people can join groups easily and regularly. Also, the session format allows you to try multiple groups each year. As relationships form, some groups choose to stay together for consecutive sessions, but new members are always welcome.
Childcare varies from group to group. When you search our directory for a group, the group profile will indicate if childcare is available.
The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders, and try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. The simple strategy to finding success in cGroups is to not give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone—including you!
